The design inspiration for the RM 07-01 Colored Ceramics collection traces its roots to the creative vitality of the 1980s—an era that celebrated freedom of expression, bold color contrasts, and the innovative use of avant-garde materials. Drawing upon this rich historical legacy, RICHARD MILLE employs a variety of decorative techniques to endow the dial with a captivating depth of layers. This series features three color variations of ceramic cases: soft pink, lavender pink, and powder blue. The TZP (Tetragonal Zirconia Polycrystal) ceramic material utilized in these timepieces was selected not only for its exquisite aesthetic qualities but also for its ability to meet rigorous performance standards. Its exceptional structural stability, rich color saturation, and superior scratch resistance ensure that the watch retains its pristine luster, remaining as radiant as new even after the passage of time.
The watch is powered by the brand’s in-house developed CRMA2 automatic caliber. Crafted from Grade 5 titanium and featuring a skeletonized design, the movement houses a fast-rotating barrel that provides a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. A variable-geometry rotor—crafted from gold—serves to wind the movement, while the plasma-treated baseplate and bridges create a striking visual contrast, further enhancing the movement's visual dynamism. The openworked architecture fully reveals this intricate, emotion-infused "laboratory" of precision.
